Cookie policy

Blue Reacher sets three kinds of browser storage on its own website and none of them are for advertising. Here is each one, what it does, how long it lasts and how to switch off the optional ones.
What this covers
What this policy covers and what it deliberately does not, the three categories of storage in use, how long each lasts, how to turn the optional ones off, and which third parties are involved.
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers cookies and similar storage technologies used on bluereacher.com and the Blue Reacher application. It does not cover the messages the platform sends, because a message delivered to a phone sets no cookies and carries no tracking pixel.
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which do the same job with a different mechanism, and this policy treats all of them the same way.
2. What Blue Reacher sets, and why
- Strictly necessary
- Session and authentication storage that keeps you signed in, keeps a form submission attached to the right session, and protects against cross-site request forgery. The site does not work without these, so they are set without consent, which is what the law permits for this category.
- Preference
- Your light or dark theme choice, stored in local storage on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and the site deliberately does not read your operating system setting, so this is the only place that choice lives.
- Analytics
- PostHog sets a pseudonymous identifier so repeat visits can be counted as one person rather than several, and so a broken page can be traced to the step that broke it. It records pages viewed, clicks and referral source. It is not used for advertising and it is not shared with an ad network.
Blue Reacher runs no advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels and no cross-site tracking on its own properties. There is no data broker in this list because there is no data broker in the stack.
3. How long they last
Session and authentication storage expires when you close the browser or sign out, whichever comes first. Theme preference persists until you clear your browser storage. Analytics identifiers expire within 12 months of your last visit and are deleted after that unless you return.
4. Turning the optional ones off
Every browser can block or delete cookies, usually under privacy or site settings, and doing so for bluereacher.com switches off analytics immediately. Blocking strictly necessary storage will sign you out and break the application, which is a browser-level trade rather than something this site can soften.
Analytics is the only optional category, so blocking it is the whole opt-out. Blue Reacher sells no personal information and shares none for cross-context behavioural advertising, which means there is no sale to opt out of under CCPA or CPRA and no advertising profile to delete.
5. Third parties
PostHog is the only third party that sets storage on Blue Reacher web properties, and it appears on the published subprocessor list with its purpose and region. Pages that embed an external booking calendar hand you off to that provider, which sets its own storage under its own policy, and that hand-off is visible in the address bar.
6. Changes and questions
This policy is updated whenever the technologies on the site change, and the date at the top of this page is the date of the last review. Questions go to support@bluereacher.com, and Sagency International LLC is the entity responsible.
Messages sent through the Blue Reacher platform carry no cookies, no tracking pixels and no open-tracking beacon, because the channel has no browser to put one in. That is a property of iMessage rather than a policy choice, and it is worth knowing when you compare it to email.
