What the eight lessons cover

In order: each lesson builds on the last one's map.

  1. 01

The one variable in your funnel nobody has ever tested

Sales teams rewrite the message when replies fall. They test subject lines, they test openers, they hire a copywriter, and the number moves two percent. The variable they never test is the channel underneath the message, which is the one that actually changed. You already paid for the lead. The channel is why they never replied.

Map the funnel you already run before you change anything

Every point where your CRM currently fires an email or a green-bubble text is a stage in your funnel, and most teams find between six and nine of them. Mapping those stages before you change anything is the whole exercise, because you cannot price a leak you have not located. The Blue Funnel is what this map turns into.

Why the blue bubble gets answered and the green one does not

Blue bubbles get read because the colour is a sorting signal your buyer applies before the words register. Green means a business, a shortcode or a robot; blue means a person holding a phone. The channel also carries voice notes, photos and read receipts, none of which business SMS can do.

The first sixty seconds decide who wins the lead

Speed to lead is the time between a prospect raising their hand and your first real contact reaching them, and it decides more deals than any script does. Teams responding inside five minutes are 21 times more likely to qualify a lead than teams that wait thirty. Twenty-five minutes is the whole difference.

Writing messages people answer instead of ignore

Messages get answered when they read like one person typing to another, which means one thought, no boilerplate, and a question that can be answered with a thumb. The first message has exactly one job: start a thread. Nobody buys off a first text, so optimising it for anything except a reply is wasted work.

  6. 06

The booking is not the win. The show is.

A booked call that nobody attends cost exactly what an attended one cost to create, and most teams measure the booking rather than the show. The reminder cadence that fixes it asks for one word back at each touch, because a lead who has replied is a lead who turns up.

  7. 07

The cheapest leads you will ever work are the ones you already paid for

Every lead sitting quiet in your CRM was bought at full price, and nobody refunded it when they stopped replying. Reactivation is the only lead source with a cost per lead of zero, and it is the stage most teams have never built at all, because a dead list feels like failure rather than inventory.

The two numbers that tell you whether any of this worked

Reply rate and stage conversion rate are the two numbers worth watching, because both travel across every funnel and neither can be faked by sending more. Volume metrics move when you work harder. These two move only when something actually got better.

Why this is free to read

Most teams never audit the channel layer of their funnel. This audit is useful on its own; many run it and fix two stages with tools they already have.

The Blue Funnel is what we teach and what we run for customers. Writing it publicly costs nothing we charged for; what customers pay for is implementation, not knowledge.

No email gate. We'd rather talk to people who read all eight and booked a call than chase everyone who downloads.
