iMessage templates for high-ticket coaching sales

High-ticket money is lost between steps: application to booking, booking to attendance, call to payment. The texts that fix it treat prospects like capable adults and make each next step smaller. Here are 10 templates.

Ground rules before you send

1. The application follow-up

hey [first name], read your application. the part about [specific detail they wrote] stood out, that's exactly the kind of thing this works fastest on. next step is a [length] call to see if it's actually a fit. calendar's here: [link]. grab a time while it's fresh.
Fill the [brackets] before sending#

When to send: Within 15 minutes of an application landing, before the auto-email does its worse version of this.

Why it works: Quoting their own application back proves a human read it, which instantly separates you from every funnel they're in. "See if it's actually a fit" frames the call as mutual evaluation, which is the correct high-ticket posture.

2. The applied-but-never-booked nudge

[first name], you took the time to apply [timeframe] ago but never grabbed a call time. usually that means the calendar felt like a bigger commitment than the form. it's [length], it's diagnostic, and if I'm not the right fit I'll tell you who is. want the link again?
Fill the [brackets] before sending#

When to send: 24 to 48 hours after an application with no booking.

Why it works: Naming the real hesitation, the calendar feels bigger than the form, dissolves it better than repeating the pitch. "I'll tell you who is" is a confidence signal no needy funnel ever sends.

3. The call confirmation

locked: [day] at [time]. one ask before then: think about what you'd want [outcome area] to look like 12 months out if we did work together. the sharper your answer, the more useful I can be on the call. see you then.
Fill the [brackets] before sending#

When to send: Immediately after booking.

Why it works: The homework question raises show rates because invested prospects show up, and it starts the discovery conversation before the call begins. Prospects who arrive with an answer close at a different rate than prospects who arrive curious.

4. The morning-of reminder

morning [first name], we're on for [time] today. it's a working call, not a webinar, so somewhere you can talk openly beats a car between meetings. if the day's collapsed, tell me now and we'll move it properly.
Fill the [brackets] before sending#

When to send: Morning of the call, 8 to 10am their time.

Why it works: "Somewhere you can talk openly" quietly raises the quality of the call environment, which raises close rates more than any script tweak. The reschedule offer converts silent no-shows into moved calls.

5. The no-show save

hey [first name], you missed our [time], and I'm going to assume the day ate you rather than cold feet. one rebook, on me: [link]. if it was cold feet, that's worth saying out loud too, sometimes that's the actual conversation.
Fill the [brackets] before sending#

When to send: Within 15 minutes of the missed call.

Why it works: Offering both explanations without judgment lets them take either exit, and "sometimes that's the actual conversation" reframes fear as material for the call instead of a reason to hide. One rebook, stated as one, protects your calendar's worth.

6. The post-call recap

[first name], what I heard today: you want [goal], the blocker is [blocker], and doing nothing costs you roughly [cost] a year in [terms]. the program handles exactly that gap. you said you'd decide by [date]. anything you need from me before then, this thread is open.
Fill the [brackets] before sending#

When to send: Within two hours of a call that ended without a decision.

Why it works: Playing their own words back proves listening and re-anchors the cost of inaction they named themselves, which is the only urgency that isn't fake. Restating their deadline holds them to their own commitment, not yours.

7. The talk-to-my-spouse follow-up

[first name], totally right to talk it through with [spouse/partner name if known]. one thing that helps: the question isn't "can we afford it", it's "what's the plan if nothing changes". happy to jump on a 15-minute call with both of you if that's easier than relaying me secondhand. offer stands either way.
Fill the [brackets] before sending#

When to send: The day after a call that ended in a partner-consultation objection.

Why it works: Validating the objection instead of fighting it keeps trust intact, and the joint-call offer is the only move that actually addresses the real dynamic, which is that your pitch is about to be delivered by an amateur. Most won't take it; the offer itself closes.

9. The lead-magnet delivery

hey [first name], the [asset name] you grabbed is in your inbox. skip to [specific section], that's the part people tell me actually changed what they did. if you get one insight from it, reply with what it was, I genuinely read these.
Fill the [brackets] before sending#

When to send: Minutes after an opt-in, while the download intent is warm.

Why it works: Directing them to the best section raises consumption, and consumption is what turns a download into a call booking. "I genuinely read these" opens a low-stakes reply channel that later becomes the booking conversation.

10. The old-lead reactivation

hey [first name], you applied to work with me back in [month] and the timing wasn't right. two things since then: [one concrete program improvement], and a few people in similar spots to where you were have [concrete result]. worth a fresh look, or should I close your file for good? both answers are useful.
Fill the [brackets] before sending#

When to send: Three to six months after a lead went cold, once.

Why it works: "Close your file for good" is a real question, not a guilt trip, and it forces a decision either way, which beats another year of mutual pretending. The two concrete updates give a returning yes something to attach to.

Questions

Why do high-ticket funnels leak between steps?

Commitment increases cause stalls: application to booking, booking to showing up, call to payment. Email is too slow to catch a stall. Text lands in the stall window, makes the next step smaller, and is answerable in ten seconds.

How do I create urgency without being scammy?

Use urgency that survives audit: real cohort dates, real capacity numbers, the cost of inaction they named. Fake countdowns train sophisticated buyers to ignore you. The recap template lets their own numbers do the work.

Should these come from the coach or the closer?

From whoever the prospect believes they are talking to, and that identity must stay consistent for the whole thread. A thread that starts as the coach and quietly becomes an assistant reads as bait-and-switch at the trust-sensitive moment. If a closer runs the pipeline, name them early.
